Caique parrots are energetic, small parrots that are originally from South America. Popular and common caique species to keep as pets are the black-headed and white-bellied caiques. These delightful parrots are notorious chewers and love to feel and investigate anything and everything around them. These birds require daily interactions with their owners outside of the cage. They also need relatively good size cages with ample to move around and to play with toys.
