The chain comes in a color that perfectly matches the pipe bell. The final chain link is also welded to the top of the pipe, so this baby is not going to come apart easily! This excellent toy combines both metal and acrylic elements with a sturdy bird-safe chain and two (2) quick link connectors, one (1) at either end.
At both ends are heavy duty links and a sturdy metal bell.
Having two (2) connectors allows this hanging toy to drape across an area of the aviary. Perfect to hand across a corner, or just from one rung in the top of a cage across to another, this draping action means that your bird can pull on the various elements of the toy, and it will swing toward them and snap back when released. This will delight your birds desire to explore, to discover new way to interact with their environment, and to make some noise.
The 1045 Ringy Pot Ringer has two (2) little silver bells, one at either end hanging from a sturdy metal ring which is connected to each of the quick link connectors. The chain that passes through the rest of the toy is strung between these two rings. There are four (4) metal measuring cups hanging at intervals down the length of the chain. Each measuring cup hangs from another metal ring, which in turn hangs from the chain. An acrylic ring hangs down in front of and behind each measuring cup handle, from each of these rings.

The 1017 Ring Pot Banger is a small hanging toy suitable for Finches, Canaries, Green Cheeked Conures, and other small pet bird species. At the top, is a sturdy quick link connector which passes through a link in a sturdy metal chain. Beneath the quick link connector is a colorful plastic bead, and a plastic gear. This is a perfect tactile element to engage birds feet and keep them on their toes!

The chain hangs down to a length of about 9" (22.8cm). We often use the terms cage and aviary interchangeably. Merriam-Webster defines a bird-cage as a "cage for confining birds". They define an aviary as "a place for keeping birds confined." If you ask me, Merriam-Webster got a little lazy there. Other sites define an aviary as "a large cage, or house or enclosure where birds live." So, for me, nearly all aviaries are cages, but not all cages are aviaries. For example, a travel cage is not a place where you would want a bird to live, but it is a space where one can confine a bird while you travel from one location to another. So here, when we talk about an aviary, we're talking about any enclosed space where a bird can live.
