The sola snow cone is a hand-crafted hanging foraging bird toy. This toy features a lightweight sola wood ball sitting in the mouth of a food grade snow cone paper cup. A metal wire passes through the center of the toy working as its backbone and keeping all of the toy parts in place. This bird toy looks wonderful in cages with its appealing design and is very easy to shred for beaks and feet.
The top of the bird toy has a quick link hanging connector included which lets the toy be hung from a cage bar or structure in the aviary. From here a sturdy metal wire loops around and hangs down through the center of the toy ending with another small metal loop that has a little metal bell dangling. This wire on top is adorned with (2) small wood beads and a colorful plastic tube. These parts sit on top of the sola ball which itself sits in the mouth of the colorful snow cone cup. The paper cup is a food grade cup with a colorful polka dot pattern on its outside. On the bottom of the cup there is another small wood bead that sits above the little metal bell.
Sola wood is one of the lightest woods in the world. This pithy material is super easy for pets to break apart with their beaks and feet. Sola doesn’t splinter, has a pleasant white interior color and can have treats stuck into it by hand. The sola ball in toy is handmade specially for birds to chew apart. These spheres are created by cutting many small pieces of sola, tying them together, forming them into a sphere, allowing them to air dry and then cutting them to size. These sola balls have tons of openings where beaks and talons can get good grips and also where treats can be conveniently stuck in.
Each sola snow cone is individually hand-crafted by us in our small Florida shop. These toys do come in assorted bird pleasing colors. All of them are carefully made with each toy piece selected for its color, size and shape before being made into the toy. All the parts on the toy are completely pet safe. The sola snow cones look excellent in cages with their bird pleasing design, enticing sola ball and colorful cup.
